Waves CLA
I know most of the longtime mixers here already have at least a few Waves plug-ins. I have never gotten my feet wet in waves land . I recently got an email for CLA at 149.00. I like the samples on the website. CLA seems to match the type of mixes I am creating. Does this set deliver the goods? I am really tempted to make the jump and give it a shot. If you own it are you happy with it? Is there anything else that can do the same thing in the same amount(or less) of time.

$104 at Don't Crack for the CLA Signature.... http://store.dontcrack.com/product_info.php?products_id=601 add to cart and use promo code: PDZ_Waves_Bundle I have all the Signature except the Manny Marroquin and it's on my list.. They are very useful...most here HIGHLY recommend the CLA.... They all have their place and can make tasks and mixing far less tedious.. Just my opinion...

I like & use them all the time, never had any problems. They work well for many situations & material (except maybe mastering) Just make sure you familiarize yourself with their WUP policy so you're not surprised or disappointed if you purchase. P.S. there's another Waves / Cakewalk promo coming tomorrow.

Yeah from looking at that web site I think I could get addicted . I signed up for the site and newsletter which isn't a good thing for a plugoholic if you know what I mean. I should have this soon. Can't wait to try it out.

carl P.S. there's another Waves / Cakewalk promo coming tomorrow. Waves One Knob? Pffft....Cake picks the ONE bundle that almost NOBODY wants... You'd have to sell it for $1.49....not $149....to get it to sell... they offered it to me via email for less then $100....and I wouldn't buy it UNLESS it was $1.49...

Nature of the biz I suppose. Targeting their customer base & marketing to young artists & producers much like Guitar Center, Musicians Friend et al.

carl Nature of the biz I suppose. Targeting their customer base & marketing to young artists & producers much like Guitar Center, Musicians Friend et al. Why would young artists buy the OneKnobs? They don't come with any PRESETS!!!! :-) Actually, I found the free Louder knob to be a pretty handy limiter. But would I buy the set for $149? Uh, no ... especially since it was offered recently for less money elsewhere. Kind of surprising that they sold out of the Silver bundle last month. That wasn't exactly a no-brainer deal either. Now, the Groove3 promo WAS a good deal. Give us more like that, please! EDIT: back to the OP's question, YES the CLA Artist Sig bundle is a great deal at the current sale price. The plugins save lots of time and effort in getting "that sound" -- if CLA's style is what you like, I highly recommend it! Cheers, Eddie

I got the One Knob bundle back near its initial release for $99 semolians. I wouldn't pay more than that...in fact probably no more than half that now. That said, they're very useful for quick tweaks and in a pinch an entire quick rough mix. Weird concept tho.

lol.....thanks again CClarry, Ol'Pal and others. I tried this out last night and it is simply wonderful. It make such a difference on some of my material. The only regret isn't with the darned recording or the tracks...it's the playing and that isn't something Waves can remedy. I hear more now and as a result need to clean more up. I might need to join Plugaholics anonymous. I now need to inform my better half that I bought this;)
