yes its a special price but also new software , we can discuss the price "there" and whether it sounds good here Kind of interesting Waves getting into the VST business I just have lots of EPs and even though its 29 dollars dont need another one I dont check the deals sub that often and as soon as I got the email posted it here..

It's another sampled one, in AIR's Velvet and GospelMusicians' Neo-Soul category. As for modeling, AAS Lounge Lizard and Pianoteq's Electrics are king.

Yup...this one is a puzzle. Why on earth Waves would want to get into the sampled EP fray with yet another entry is beyond me. Intro price is about right though and I'm sure we'll see it for even less on a "flash" sale. Watched Yoad's longer video walk-through and didn't see or hear anything groundbreaking. Perhaps they're just sticking their toes into the instrument waters to see how big a ripple they cause.

I got more sampled electric pianos than I can shake a stick at. As for modeled the ones in Arturia's V collection 5 are very nice.

I'm not a fan of sampled instruments in general, but I'm planning buying a few waves plugs this month at July sales prices and if I include this on the list I can get it for $25 (35% off on top of the sales price). Even having Lounge Lizard and the Arturia new EP I cannot pass this one. Waves quality at this price... this is what I call "bang for the buck"

Are Waves launching this at a special price so that they can WUP you afterwards There are many great products out there already, which come with a major and significant advantage over this product - they are nothing to do with Waves so you will NEVER have to get involved with Waves Wupping and licensing!!!!!! I have mixed feelings about this one. On the one hand, I think they nailed the "worn out" sound, it is very realistic, as someone who owned a Fender-Rhodes back in the day. And that, with all it's warts, is also the problem. While it sounds authentic, I'm not sure it sounds "good," or at least pleasing to me. It didn't help that the long video featured the most annoying and non-musical piano playing ever in a demo. And the demo audio was mostly featuring the whacked out sound possibilities. Just not as musical for me, more like something for sound designer geeks or 80's music, not my favorite, TBH. Of course it's soooo cheap that it might be worth it for the one or two times where you are really trying to nail that live, oldies sound. And frankly it does have a living, breathing quality to it. I love me my Lounge Lizard, PianoTeq, and Arturia rhodes and wurlies, but at that price it might tempt me "just in case," because it does sound really, really old...like me

Still, if you're going samples, maybe stop by Soniccouture's EP73 Deconstructed and Broken Wurli. I believe they're half price through Native Instruments until July 24th in honor of their NKS move.
