Mostly the specs and how they go about doing what they do...(loudness) The L3 is the top of the line...and there are 5 versions of the L3 , the Ultra versions just have a streamlined interface... L3 Multimaximizer L3 Ultramaximizer L3-LL Multimaximizer and L3-LL Utramaximizer L3-16 Multimaximizer For a complete run down go here...has all the plugins.. http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=91

I picked up the L1 instead of cakewalks limiter and I just love it. I wanted something very simple but effective so I jumped on the L1 because it had an interface similar to Cake's concrete limiter and it was cheaper. I find it very transparent so I imagine the L2 and L3 are just more so.

Hopefully I'll be able to move from Gold to Platinum and gain the L2 and L3....that's my goal... that's next years upgrade I hope (provided we survive Rush's 21 12....ha ha...LOL

I'm looking for something easy to use also. At $29.00, L1 is looking pretty good!

I've got all three and I still go back to the L1 for some songs. It just adds a certain feel I can't seem to duplicate with the L2/L3. Regards, Dan

Glad to know you picked it up!! I just got Vocal Rider...at $50 I HAD to buy it....glad they extended the sale.....I didn't have the $50 to spend...but just could not NOT buy it...I must be NUTZ!!! If I had the money I would have gone crazy on this sale...but (luckily or unluckily - depending on how you look at it) I couldn't.

i use the L1 a lot... on individual tracks, and on busses.... i use L2 exclusively for mastering. it's much more tighter and transparent than L1, but does not have the 'character' L1 has

That's what the Site Description says about the L2 ..that's it's more for Mastering. Eventually I'm going to download the Demo's and test them one by one and side by side.
