Waves 9 installed correctly here, both mono and stereo 64 bit.  I’m curious to what Waves’ response to the installation problem you are experiencing.

Zero response so far, Ive been demoing Version 9 since I ONLY use 64 bit X1d Expanded,and I have installed and un-installed and re-installed maybe TEN times,so I'm very adept at installing and ticking the correct boxes after one instals the WOLI .exe,which then downloads the licence center,plus I've had an account for a couple of months now.


I eventually decided to buy from the waves online store,as Waves Universe,kept having an "insecure content" pop up EVERY time I went to checkout.


Also Tony Belmonts site[the cheapest prices] has NO information,as to wether you are buying Version 9 or 64 bit[as someone here found out].


The PIE/HLS plugins[the other 2 in the bundle] are ALL 32/64 bit AND Mono/Stereo,BUT,the Kramer Tape,is ONLY Stereo in 32 bit only......surely after this many re-installs,if it was going to show as a 64 bit Stereo plugin it would,as BOTH the others have....oarrggh,a whole day on this so very bored,by the result.

I can vouch for Tony, Wavesuniverse.com & also Audiodeluxe.com. I've purchased software from all 3 of these vendors many times in the past w/o any problems or issues whatsoever.
Not to mention it's much cheaper than buying full retail through the Waves store.

WAVES plugins still use a "waveshell" vst which contains all their plugins and you only install the ones you own a license to.  You have to reinstall all your owned plugs each time you reinstall (IIRC).  Waveshell V9 is 64bit.  For all plugs.  There were a couple...TransX, for instance...that didn't get ported until a couple of weeks after the release of V9 but even they are now 64bit.  I also own the Kramer Tape plugs and they indeed are 64bit and are operating just fine here.  First, are you using computer based authorization or USB flash drive authorization?  Second, are all your current WAVES licenses V9 current or do you have some WAVES plugs that are still earlier versions (i.e. 8, 7, etc...)??  If all your plugs are current V9 licenses and you're using a USB flash drive for authorization...and all your authorizations are correctly on it (check your cloud server)...then uninstall ALL your plugs, run CCleaner or the like, reboot and reinstall ALL your plugs being careful to check each plug in the installer as to whether it will be installed and also WHERE it is being installed.  Then reboot again.  If that doesn't work CALL WAVES.  And be sitting at your computer when you do.  Hope you get it worked out, ol pal.

ALLROIGHT!!! I fixed it,the deal was,after endless,other attempts,I then went back into "regedit"and found,a listing called "Excluded Plugins",one of them being.....you guessed it Kramer Tape Stereo!!

So I went and deleted it,opened X1,scanned,opened a project,and now had the 4 listings that show up for ALL Waves plugs-Stereo/Mono with a"(0)"next to tthose 2-meaning 32 bit,and Stereo/Mono,with nothing next to it-meaning 64 bit.

This is weird,as I NEVER excluded this plugin,and also did NOT,when I demoed it,and also it DID NOT show as "excluded",in X1's Plugin Manager GUI,in the program,so if Yishai K from Waves hadn't got me to look in the registry,I never would have gone back[even though his idea didn't work,it got me thinking]and found the trouble.

It turns out,that Waves,have to have somebody in the office to send serial numbers,which is why it took 5 hours to get mine,whereas cakewalk's operation is all automated-I'm guessing?:amaze: 

Anyway,all cool,and yes the slap/delay on the Kramer Tape is certainly worth the entrance fee,for sure.
