Waves Tune and X1...Play well together??

Since it looks like Waves is blowing out a handful of older (but still very useful) plugs now I'm thinking about picking several up.  One is Waves Tune which runs (or originally ran) as a Rewire Client.  First, will this work worth a dern in X1 and second, does anyone here have such a setup?

I recently acquired Waves Tune LT as a part of a used Waves Gold bundle purchase. It currently causes X1b (x64 w/quickfix) to crash when you attempt to insert it. I didn't really expect it to work, since I don't think SONAR supports Rewire in the x64-bit version. I don't have the 32-bit version of X1 installed, sorry.

No there is no 64 bit Rewire, thank Propellerheads for that. I have the (very) older Mercury bundle running in both 32 and 64 bit.

Yup...and it's only Tune LT (which my ol pal eBlue isn't having fun with).  But, true to form, I did get "Doubler" and "Debreath" and then after installing them lost my Waves "Lo-Air".  Due to, I'm sure, my own idiocy with the Waves installers.  It was so bad at one time tonight that neither X1 or 8.5.3 would even boot up.  But I'm back with everything working except for that one plug.  I'll let Waves take care of that one.  I think I'm gonna start takin a modified way of doin things based on Larry's suggestion above...everytime I get the urge to buy some new geegaw, I'm just gonna hit my thumb with a hammer until that feelin passes.
