Waves V-series + API

Hey!

I thought I'd buy myself the Waves V-series and API collection that is on sale now at Waves for USD299. Anyone out there using them with Sonar X2? Any known problems? Checked the compability list they have and it looked good. But I thought I'd better check here first since I've personally had GUI-problems with many Waves-plugins.

Please let me know. Guess the sale wont last forever.

    I have the V-Series....they're great...

I have had virtually NO issues with Waves on X2 in Win 8.

The only issue I did have was when inserting Waves Plugins into X1 projects
opened in X2.  It would crash every time.

My solution was to open the X1 project, save it under a new name in X2 and re-open.
    All problems disappeared.

Most of the people here haven't had issues, but some have had severe issues.
Not sure if it's a system issue for them or a user issue.

I've heard that the API series is SPOT ON to the hardware.

    Cheers!!

I've been using Waves starting with the Gold bundle in PAD9 / Sonar2 XL & now in X2 64b without any crashes or major problems.
A major issue some have is with installation. If you don't do it correctly or try to assume how they can be installed you could wind up with a real mess.
Also Sonar is not VST3 compatible so a few features like side-chaining won't work.

Here's a few choices for purchasing, cheaper than at the Waves website.

Audio Deluxe seems to be the cheapest at $229.99

I've had less GUI problems since X2 but under X1 all waves plugins had some sort of problem with it.

The Waves run just fine on Sonar X2 Producer, 64bit. Actually the UAD-2 card plug in's blow them out the door. Something to think about investing in the future. Plus the UAD-2 card has it's own memory and chip, which means it doesn't count on your cpu to run.
