Waves decisions
this may get moved, but with the $50 off Waves coupon should i get? i already have gold. Vocal Rider Center EMI TG12345 API 2500 the vocal rider does a nice job of riding the vocal track... center would be nice for splitting some mid-side tracks... the EMI is a nice abbey road piece of equip, but i already have REDD... altho i have many compressors, the API2500 would be a nice touch.

the riders are overrated IMHO. got them but rarely use apart from recording a 1st pass automation which is then fine-tuned/overwritten ...

Those are all nice tools, but my personal choice is the TG12345. I compared it head-to-head with REDD and it was my favorite. The compressor is so punchy, and the Drive is a lot more useful than the REDD equivalent. This is Waves' best sale of the year for a lot of their stuff, even better than Black Friday. Probably won't get more deals like this for quite a while. Cheers, Eddie

Maarkr, You can use the same code on different purchases if you are buying from the Waves site. I purchased several plugins at different times and was able to use the same code. If your budget allows it, go for all of them. Also try the other dealers that cclarry listed, to see if you can get even more of a discount using the code.

The TG12345 is quite different to the REDD. Both are very good, but they do sound and react differently. The TG12345 eq and compressor are quite unique.

You guys are all in harmony on this. It's intriguing. But even for free now I don't think I'll ever, ever, ever pick up another compressor or EQ even if it's in a slick channel strip.
Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

Kinda with Lawa on this. I got so many now really no need.
I really have fallen head over heals for the IK and Nomads Pultecs. And I also found that the 4 different EQ settings/modes with the QuadCurve, that comes with SPlat, have very good "character" themselves.
Round that out with the Melda and the IK EQs, Comps, do I really need more?
Nah. I'm good.
For now!!
I think 😊

I agree with LJ & Grem! Technically, I have every base covered - comps, EQ, limiters, fx, synths, yadda yadda. I don't ~need~ anything else, ever! But I'm weak. Throw me a sale that's worth it, and I'm in. I'll deal with the personal and financial repercussions later

Well, after I just spouted all my reasons not to get another whatever, I broke down and got the CLA suite for $75, and the TG1234 for $94. Both at Audio Deluxe.
I know. I am weak. 😁

You know Jeff that's part of the "trouble" I have. I haven't been steered wrong yet! My first "Big Plugin Bundle" was purchased a while back. It was the Nomad everything bundle that I got for about $100. Great investment. And it was on the advice I got here. And as bad as Larry dislikes IK, he said the TrackS BOGOF was a no brainer. And I really like all those plugs. I mean every one of them!! So when he and others (I think Eddie ) talked about the CLA and the TG1234, I resisted. Talked myself out of it a few times. Only to succumb in the end!!
