Waves introduce SoundGrid Connect

INTRODUCING  SOUNDGRID CONNECT A NEW GAME-CHANGING FEATURE OF THE SOUNDGRID DRIVER  • Run hundreds more plugins using any ASIO/Core Audio interface • Connect any ASIO/Core Audio interface to the SoundGrid network

How can I run hundreds more plugins using my ASIO/Core Audio interface? SoundGrid Connect lets you add more processing power to your system by connecting any ASIO/Core Audio I/O to a SoundGrid server and offloading your plugin processing* to the server. What benefits do I get by connecting to a SoundGrid network? The SoundGrid network lets you stream audio, record and mix from multiple computers and DAWs simultaneously. Will I benefit from SoundGrid Connect even if I already own a SoundGrid I/O? If you already have a SoundGrid I/O, you can now use SoundGrid Connect to add your ASIO/Core Audio interface to the SoundGrid network.

Sounds good for a studio but who would want to or even be able to "run hundreds more" plugins?

It's Bass, not Bass.
