Waves plugs on more than one machine?

Hey guys!

I have a bunch of Waves plugins. They are all licenced to a stationary computer I use. But I would want to use them as well on a laptop. Is there a way around this? I heard that you could put the licenses on a USB-stick. Or is there another way? Can you "upgrade" the plugs to work on two separate computers in any way? I'd rather not have them on USB.

The Waves Licensing agreement states that you can only run
the plugins on ONE machine at a time....

You can have them installed on more then one machine....and
if you use a USB to contain the licenses you can move
    from machine to machine...

However, there is another way...when you want to use them on
another machine...send them to the Cloud.  Go to the other machine
and download them from the Cloud to that machine.  When done...
    send them back and repeat.

The only way to use them on more then one machine at the SAME
time is to have more then one set of plugins, which means
you'd have to buy multiple sets of plugins.

    Cheers!

Aha, that would work as a sollution for me. Is there a limit to how many times you can do that or something?

    Thanks for the info!

Yeah, I've become something of a Waves fanboy myself lately. I've bought more of their plugs than I want do admit. Everything isnt great but things like the REDD, API etc are just amazing.

metz - I keep mine on a USB stick.

The above method is good, but what if you have a hard drive crash, which can & does happen?

I assume you need to use a USB stick to transfer from one cloud on 1 computer to the next and back again?

So for me, I just leave them on the USB stick and Waves 'sees' them on there.

Myself, I've never had a USB stick crash yet, [with the exception of the entirely useless and now much abandoned 'ilok - waste of money' that was initially used by Waves, as still is by some].

Anyway, just something to consider as an alternative option.

This would also save some time at each computer every time.
