How do you get the update?
All my Waves plugins say they are the latest version.

Same here...and my Version of WC is 1.2.3.1 and the download version is
1.2.1.5...so my version appears to be newer then the one on their Website.

I think the only way to update Waves plugins is to re-install everything.  Open the Waves Central, go to "Install Products" (middle button) choose Online, login, select online again (not sure why but that's just how it works), make sure "My Products" is selected at top of middle section, click "Move All" to add everything to the install queue (you could pick and choose ones that have been updated but I just update everything), then click install.  It will then install the updates.

that could be the case, but maybe someone else can confirm

for me at least WAVES Central never showed any way to update or even info that updates would be available

Reinstalling from online (you must use the online option) does install the most recent version, short of that I've never found any other way to update Waves plugins. And there is no way to uninstall single plugins.  You have to uninstall everything (using Wave Central) and then reinstall.

If you look at their change log page, they do make updates all the time.  I'd also point out that this isn't a WUP thing.  Many of my plugins no longer have active WUP but you can still continue to install newer versions up to the current major version.  So until they release version 10, your current licenses will work with all the version 9 series (assuming your plugins are Version 9, if not you'd have to WUP them to go from Version 7/8, etc).

If you are doing this update you may want to consider if you want to include the Multirack/Studio Rack/SoundGrid Studio stuff (they gave this away at one point so I'm guessing lots of people have it), it usually requires a reboot since it installs some audio device drives.  It's the only one I remove before installing unless I know for sure it's had an update.

Just got a Windows 10 Update notice today. I think I will put off 1 of these till the other is OK'ed. Maybe put off both for a while since I don't have time to futz with any mess for a few day. Waves doesn't really make me nervous but Win 10? A little.

      It's Bass, not Bass.

I didn't update anything and, at the top of Waves Central
it already says 1.2.1.5, but, in the "about" it says 1.2.3.1

Wave Central updates/version has nothing to do with the Waves plugins though.  It's a whole other product (an installer/manager/licenser).

I think Waves doesn't support checking versions of the plugins themselves and helping the user in order to sell more WUP subscriptions.  Which is kind of sad, since they do actually seem to fix bugs, but with no way for the user to check or know there is a new version available or even what version a specific plugin should be at.

My Waves Central has the double versions also.  The about box version doesn't match the top of the app (or what's on the website).  Waves Central will check it's version and offer an update though (unlike the plugins).
