Wawho! Presets to power user book,Thanks Simon Cann
Got "Cakewalk Synthesizers from preset to power user" by Simon Cann from Santa. This is just the book for someone that wants to know about Synths. Covers all the Cakewalk and then some synths. From Triangle to Rapture and Dimension Pro. It lays out the whole bases of sythesizers in idiot proof language. With interactive tutorials. I actually know what an LFO,LPF24-hiQ is and how it affects the sound ! It even has advanced level stuff (can't wait to get there) I highly recommend this book to anyone, newb to pro Thankyou Simon for such an indepth yet easy to understand read. And also to you Rene for all your genius(great interview) Merry Christmas

Managed to order this book and Sonar 6 Power (as well as Sonar 6PE) so the race is on as to which comes first and I can't wait. Got introduced to Sonar thanks to Rapture having a 45 day test drive of 5PE on the same disk, so I'm real impatient waiting to get my teeth into everything. Just reading everyone's happiness regarding these books is enough to make me count every second... let alone the studio itself.

Yea such problems I understand your quondary I have Sonar 6 Power also If you know enough to get your way through Sonar,I'd start with CSPPUB. Right....... I find myself switching back and fourth, As was once said by Burgess Merideth (Twilite Zone eposode) "So much to read and so little time!" What's neat about Simon's approach is that he has the books laid out in such a way, that you can ether read it to learn about the process behind Synths and recording or get the info you need to start recording and be creative. Next to "How Green was My Valley ", this is best reading ever!!!

I had this book 'up my sleeve', ready to produce the moment someone asked what I wanted for xmas. But no-one did! Looks like I might just have to fork out for the thing myself!
