We got "blitzed" this morning!

In a way this situation is becoming unexceptionable and a bit of an insult to the regulars who stop by each day to see if they can either learn something or help someone else.
We collectively  serve as a huge asset to Cakewalks marketing and customer service dept. 
Without the forum and it's longstanding and never tiring "helpers" my guess Sonar would not be where it is today. Sonar is a "community' based product and it's fan club is it's best asset. 
 
Go into a large music store and mention Sonar, none of the salespeople will have a clue. 
In my town everyone uses Logic, Cubase and Pro Tools. Two Sonar users here just switched to Pro Tools so they can all collaborate. 
I am probably the only one left who turns out albums using it. 
 
Any how I hope the Admin takes a good look at this situation and takes action, it is totaly not fair to dump this problem on the members. I spent 5 or so minutes taging spam the other day and stopped half way down the endless posts. Why should I do this I cried! I could have been replying to a few posts instead. 

There is NO need for any one guy to flag all of those.  I am usually up at around 5-6 EST in the US, and will pick up whatever is left over.
 
We'll get em between all of us.
 
There is not currently a better way to do it - hang in there.

I think Cakewalk's solution to the spam is very effective.
 
I tend to be on here first thing in the U.K., and don't mind flagging a few spam.
 
There are obviously like minded people on here.  Sometimes I will be the first to flag an influx of spam, but by the end I am the third, or they have all disappeared.
 
Sometimes you can see this idiot posting, and yet they disappear as quickly as you can open his threads.
 
I knew this would happen, my Voodoo Guru told me it would.
 
And it only cost me £600, my bank details, and all my passwords..
 
I should have seen that coming..

The only problem is the voodoo guru seems unable to predict his own future for his posts. Odd don't you think? I mean being a guru and all shouldn't he see how his posts will be received? Could it be he is a fake as opposed to a real voodoo guru?? 

Those of us who check this forum late in the day thank you for your work!!  As a matter of fact, you guys are so effective I had assumed this forum had some how escaped spammers altogether.

Off-topic post here but you reminded me of something I had forgotten.
I  agree with your statement re: big-chain music stores. Try to find a decent high-end non-Fender/non-Gibson guitar at one (OK they have one PRS in the back)  . However, when I was getting back into recording after a 15 year hiatus, I was at Guitar Center getting a cable or something and struck up a conversation with the dude at the Keyboard counter. I mentioned I was unable to get my freebie Cubase LE working reliably and after a lengthy conversation he suggested I try what he used ...wait for it...Sonar. This was in early 2008 so I did a little research and then picked up Sonar 7 Studio and never looked back. Thanks Mitch at GC Colorado Blvd!
