We lurvs you, Bapu...
Our good friend Baps has been somewhat MIA and likely preoccupied/bummed out by the loss of his good buddy, Jan. Just thought I would post this to let him know I for one have noticed his absence and think he's a good cat as I'm sure many others here do. Let's show him some luv and support so he knows what he means to the community. I'll start... Bapu invited me to toss some vocal squawks on some collabs shortly after I joined the forum and first started using Sonar. It was very fun and gave me some focus as I tried to learn the program. He forgave my utter n00bishness with patience and good humor. More recently we worked on Karyn' Got a Gun with Beagle and some other fine regulars and again it was a fun and educational experience. On top of that the silly he brings is a nice break in the day when grinding through something or other and when he gets fer serioz about more technical stuff he's helpful and makes cool recommendations about plugs and procedures I would otherwise not know about. Stay golden, Bapu. Feel better and hope you stick around. No pressure though. Cheers.

For sure, Bapu is one of the specialistest...bestest...gooderest...nicest guys to ever sashay through these here parts. Anyone who's spent a chunk of time in here has Bapu stories to tell. He's a generous and genuinely friendly person who is so much more than the silly posting maniac some might think him to be. Take your time, buddy. We look forward to your return. We'll keep the FSF warm for you. Well, it actually generates its own heat. For that matter, it also has its own atmosphere, gravity, and orbit. Sometimes, when it thinks no one else is paying attention, you can hear the wind sigh, "Black Dog, +1."

The CH without Bapu kind of reminds me of when I forget to put the coffee in the coffee maker and I end up making hot water instead of coffee.
In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.
