WeWantTheWorld

Ok I haven't put this track up but this is how I feel at the moment: http://soundcloud.com/aaudiomystiks/wewanttheworldmastertlamay17

Yes it's probably a bit repetitive but that is the point and it is a play on the doors song When The Music's Over.

Sorry I haven't been listening as much latley down on download and up on intenet bills and I am strewn across two cities at the moment but I will always return the favour.

"This is a large comunity and it has a right to land" this a paraphrase of the Leonard Cohen quote he made at the Isle of Wight concert 1970, except he said we didn't have a right to land but he was pissed and wore a safari suit

    Hey, Ben,

Very interesting track combining both modern production elements and a vintage sounding vibe!

I definitely get your Doors reference, and the mix sounds pretty good to me.  My only personal suggestion, (subjective opinion, of course), would be to maybe add a couple short synth melody lines or solos, to break up the sections and add a little diversity to the track.  As it is right now, it just seems a bit repetitious, but I've heard your synth skills on some of your other posts, so I'm sure it would be an easy fix to slip in a couple tasty bits.

I really like your stuff because you're never afraid to experiment and try something new and different in your music, which always makes it very unique.

Either way, very cool and interesting sounding song!

Very interesting and different kind of tune you've put together there, Ben.  Certainly, not what I'm used to listening to, but that's a good thing because it opens up my mind and makes me think.

I particularly loved the echo/reverb effect on the opening vocal.  What was that?

Wow so many beautiful replies from you guys, my ego has been taken a battering in these last few days dealing with uni heads, I mean a Dr of Music calling me Dude, I almost wanted to say, well we will leave it at that.

Ah Phillz I used the Pantheon on Stadium and I think I used the Project5 Spectral Transformer to get the really weird delay when the song comes back in.

I'm not being patronizing but it's really importent to use all the parameters on your reverb unit, even if you don't know what some of them do.  Of course I don't do this all the time.

Thanks guys, I will try and do some listening this eveing to what's new on the forum.

    Love you Ben

Thanks James and Radio, yea I was checking out how long the last section was the other day because I sang that the whole way through and if you listen I fluff one line.

It's about a minute and half maybe two with minimal breath, I mean there is nowhere to take a breath so it was very hard, sorry patting myself on my back.

You have all been so kind by listening to my tunes.
