Website Extremely Slow?
I'm experiencing very slow response times while using the SONAR website. Slow log on, screen changes, posting and searches. I'm having the same issues from three different devices at home and this morning I'm experiencing the same thing from a different location. Any news?

No news, but it's been happening to me all weekend. Some pages take so long that the browser fails and gives up. Im blaming it on unexpected traffic on the DEALS thread...

Slow response and no response or server error yesterday. I've been getting intermittent slow response for a couple of weeks.

Slow responses, "server failed to reply" errors, partial page loads. Been happening for a few days, the Coffee House seems the worst afflicted followed by this forum. Makes no difference whether I'm using DSL or mobile so not related to a problem at my end unless two completely different ISPs have exactly the same problem at the same time. Everywhere else seems to be loading OK as well.

Real slow and buggy from here. I can't start a new thread, won't give me the area to write into. Must be rigged.

The only thing we can say for certain is that it is not being slowed down by masses of people downloading the November early release:) Busting to get my hands on that!

I was going to answer this sooner, but the site is extremely slow I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but Harmony Central has been deluged with a tsunami of spam the past few days. The Cakewalk forums seem to have fairly robust spam protection, so that might be slowing things down...just a theory.

One of the nice things about usenet newsgroups was that once a spam article had been identified a message kill instruction could be sent out (often automatically) that meant not only was it removed from the groups where it had already appeared but news servers would drop it in the rubbish bin on sight so it wouldn't bother any other group it was cross-posted to.
A pity there isn't a similar mechanism for forums, but I guess that's what happens when everyone goes their own way rather than there being a single standard for a common format used by all.

That comment took nearly two minutes to get posted and show up after I pressed "submit" by the way. Usually the forum software responds almost instantly.
