Weird issue importing bun file from Cakewalk 9 to Sonar 2

Sorry, I know this is the wrong forum, but this forum gets all the traffic, and I'm guessing there are some long time users here that may have run into this issue before.
My bandmate is using Cakewalk 9, I use Sonar 2.  He sends me bun files and I've never had an issue with these files.
He sent me one recently that opens just fine, but when I play it, I get no audio, and the CPU and Disk meters stay at 00%.
The song appears to be playing, the counters move, the line moves across the screen, but no sound and no CPU or Disk utilization.  I checked the outputs of all my tracks and busses and they are correct.  When I open the wav file in Sound Forge, they do play just fine.  The audio stopped indicator comes on whenever I stop the song.  I have not been able to get the Audio Running indicator to come on by clicking on the Run/stop the audio engine button.

do the waves show in the track view?

is something muted or is routing not correct?

Also try a reboot. All the way down with computer and interface...... speaking of the interface....what are you using for a sound card?

Never-mind, there were a couple of effects that were not compatible and that wouldn't delete.
I copied and pasted all of the audio files into a new project and it played like a charm.

    Thanks.
