Weird stuff happening with Amplitube SVX in Sonar X3d

I had a very strange thing happen last night - I called up a mix for a revision - NO BASS! I had Amplitube SVX on the DI bass track, now suddenly NO SOUND is being processed. I opened it in 2 other DAWs (Mixcraft & Reaper) and it worked fine... But in Sonar X2 and X3, no go!...

... Yes, I managed a workaround... I saved the setting in SVX as a preset, then opened it in Amplitube X-Gear - problem solved... BUT, this is bugging me... Why is this happening? How come it was working fine 2 days ago and now it won't work at all? Any ideas?

Here are my details:
Sonar X3d Producer Edition
OS: Win 7 Professional 64 bit (Service Pack 1)
Processor: Intel Core i7 2600CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.4GHz
RAM: 16GB
Interface: M-Audio ProjectMix I/O
Also running a UAD2 Solo PCI Card for some plugins.

No ideas, but Amplitube3 has somehow frozen up on me when I've opened a project before and I have no idea why.  I couldn't turn a knob on it with my mouse or open another preset - nothing.

But closing X3 and opening it again has worked the 2-3 times it's happened.  I don't know...

I'm using Amplitube 2, but closing and opening doesn't make any difference.  It's a damned nuisance because clients are asking for mix recalls, & I use SVX a LOT on bass DIs...

I tried to trace back and think about any changes I made to my computer - the only things that changed was that I installed an updated version of the TT Dynamic Range meter (version 1.4, because version 1.1 wouldn't work in Sonar - it worked in my other DAWs though), and Windows did an automatic update.

Ok, update on this.  I found a workaround within SVX.  It seems that if I turn SVX's tuner module on the press the "mute" switch on then off, I get sound back!  Very bizarre!

These are all old 32 bit plugins aren't they? There may be problems with Bitbridge.

SVX is now part of Amplitube 3 (if you update to Amp 3 then owners of SVX and others will see those in the amp3 browser) and is also 64 bit. If you're doing this professionally you might need to update amp 2 which is a really really old program by now. It's now 3.5.1 I think.

I had an issue with A3. The standalone would not open up properly. For me, it turned out that I needed to re-install the Microsoft 2005 runtime. I haven't had an issue since.
I'm not saying that this is your problem but it was for me. If you try this, only use the runtime from Microsoft's website.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Yeah, I had the whole Amplitube 2 bundle with all the amps they ever released.  I have been extremely happy with it, and up until now, haven't had one single hiccup, so I never saw the need to download the latest & greatest.  I just downloaded Amplitube 3, and it looks like all my authorized bundles work within that framework (which actually resembles the X-Gear format in Amp 2).  This system wasn't clear to me before, & I was under the impression that I would have to spend money to upgrade, which I wasn't exactly keen to do, considering my satisfaction with the actual sounds I'm getting.
