Weird volume problem

Hi all,

I'm working on a project in X3 (will make the jump to the new version some time soon probably) and suddenly while working on a tom track all the tracks except the drum tracks have gone very quiet. No settings changed. It's like I've pressed the exclusive solo button on the drum bus, except I haven't. Maybe I pressed a key on the keyboard or something but I doubt it... Does anyone know what might be going on? I've checked the levels of all the tracks but no settings have changed! This has essentially made my project unmixable for the moment. I've mixed many projects before and this has never happened. If this is a bug there's no way Cakewalk deserve any more of my money! Any help greatly appreciated...

Weird. I don't recall hearing of such earlier. If it was a bug there would have been a lot of noise on the forum for the
last year or two, you do know that.

Could you possibly accidentally have entered Offset mode? Do you see a small "+" anywhere in the track view?
I don't know the position of it in the X-series. Try toggling O.

Yes, that's what I found weird - no record of anyone having had the problem. I checked for offset mode but the button isn't pressed. It happened suddenly without warning and without changing any settings (I was tweaking EQ for an individual track at the time).

So the Solo and Dim buttons in the Mix Module are not lit?

Do all your other tracks go through some bus that the Drums bus doesn't? If so you should check that bus for Prochannel EQ or other FX/Gain changes that might have dropped the level.

Are the other tracks pure audio, synths or a both? What else is in the project?

Have you bounced any part of the project to another track that might have phase inverted and be partially nulling the live tracks?
