Weirdness when changing tempos

Hi all,
I am working on a project where I'm taking old analog multi-track recording and using Sonar to remix. I can import the waves just fine but when I try to change the tempo time it knocks the clips out of time. It almost seems like it's stretching the audio. I'm sure this is another "duh" moment but how do I prevent this from happening? Thanks for the help!

See this post and thread from a few days ago: http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.ashx?m=2620603.

If you don't know the target tempo of the piece, you can count out a few measures, set the Now time at that a known beat, and use Set Measure/Beat (Shift-N) to have SONAR calculate the tempo, but you'll have to jump through a few more hoops if the track doesn't start at 1:01:000. And if it wasn't recorded tightly to a click, setting one fixed tempo is not going to work well, and you'll need to use Set Measure/Beat to set more points.

Here's another post/thread with more detail on setting project tempo(s) to match audio when it's not a known, fixed tempo:
