Welcome email

Just got an email congratulating me on my purchase of my first DAW. But I have the platinum lifetime subscription and have for some time. And before that I had professional and the basic version, so I'm wondering why I got that email out of the blue. I did upgrade melodyne and purchased a new instrument. Don't see why they would have generated the email.

I got one too. I guess somebody at Cakewalk Central pressed the wrong button.

I also got one of these after I upgraded to Sonar Platinum in December despite having been a customer for over 20 years.

I'm off to see the Wibble, the wonderful Wibble of Wobble

They've never quite got the hang of how to do email have they?

     I got one, too.

Bulk emails are a tricky business. I support it in my own software, and my customers (mostly hotels) use it for advertising, thank-you letters and announcements. I give them all kinds of selection criteria for building the mailing list, such as customers who've done business in the last N days, customers flagged as VIPs, customers within a specific market segment or postal code, and so on. But users eventually screw up or get lazy, sometimes resulting in comical or embarrassing email blasts, like inviting organizers of a memorial service back for another banquet. Every time I get an ad for a product I've had for years, I just smile and hit Del.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Glad I'm not the only one who got the email having purchased SONAR some time ago.  Thought I had spent some money that I didn't know about.

I got one too today.  Good for a chuckle.  Thought maybe it was my 20 year Cakewalk anniversary card or something like that!

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...

Yeah, we goofed. Thanks for your continued support!
Guess I was typing too much code that day and the vibrations must have shifted my neighbor's laptop around to cause a selection error. ;)
