Well, Google customer support performed about how I expected

I have a paid Google Apps for Business subscription and use the Google/Outlook sync tool to sync my Outlook calendar to Google. Since I installed it on a new Windows 8 laptop, it's been giving me nothing but sync errors. I'm using it in exactly the same way. So I contacted Google support over the phone (yeah I was surprised you could do that too) and they opened a case and sent me an email requesting information about versions, as well as some trace files. I sent them all the info and they just got back to me saying something along the lines of "Good news - we've verified the errors! It appears you have either triggered our automated abuse limit or bandwidth limit. Oh and your version of Windows probably isn't up to date either. Well, toodle-oo!"

Automated abuse? Bandwidth limit? Are they kidding? I haven't engaged in any of that stuff. If what I do as a small business exceeds a paid Google Apps subscription's "bandwidth limit" then I don't even see the point of having it in the first place. And how can they just say "you may have been engaged in automated abuse" without even suggesting ways in which that could have happened? Also, my version of Windows is fully up to date, something I confirmed in my initial info email to them but which they're now ignoring. I also love the way they said "we'll keep the case open just in case you might have any further questions." Might have? MIGHT HAVE?

Hmm, that went well

That's great! They can read my complaint without me actually having to say it to their face...
