Well i just got back from Guitar center and need help.

FYI I own a pair of KRK rokit PR5's

At 1st i was thinking of getting the Behringer 3031a.

thank god i didn't they were horrible low ends.

Then i had them play the KRK G2 8" again i was not impressed.

Then i tried the yamaha hs80m it sounded good actually

Then i had them play the KRK VXT8 i like it i must say it sounded good.

Then i had them play the BM6A MK II i also like these too but wasnt crazy about them

then i had them play the Adams but they only had the 6" it sounded nice and clean.

So finally i had them play the JBL  LSR4328P i felt like these had more life then all of them the only one that was close was the VXT8

and i asked myself my 5" sounded much better then most of what i heard.

so my question to guys who own the JBL  LSR4328P what do you think about them.

im going to go to another GC and try them again.

I have the JBLs with the larger speakers...maybe 8" I think.  Anyway, I LOVE these monitors.  I have had several different sets and these by far are my favorite ones.  I hear things with these that I never did with any others.

I cannot rate these high enough.  They were around $1600 for a long time, now Guitar Center is selling them for $999 now...they must have a new design coming out.

My only complaint is that they should have a mute button on them.  That is the only miss.

For the pair.  We have two GC in the Indianapolis area.  Our Castleton store has them for $1599 while our Greenwood store has them for $999.00...hmmmm  I was at both stores today and confirmed those prices.

Also the Greenwood store has a pretty heavily used pair for $599 for the pair.

    I LOVE these monitors.

I would say demoing them at GC is close to worthless.
There are only a handful of monitors under a grand that are any good for doing a decent mix on. Then it's a matter of putting them is a decent room and getting used to them.
Search through Sound on Sounds reviews on line to find which are recommended. That is a magazine that pulls no punches and doesn't seem to care about advertising revenue.

PS. One of them is super cheap (Alesis M1 active MK2) - but don't expect them to last too long (power board problems) and you also might be unlucky enough to get a bad one out of the box.

5" can be better than 8" in many cases IMHO (unless you have a well treated space) Often they will be less picky if you sit close and don't crank them too loud. The KRK VXT4 is in fact a great monitor (unless you are big into rap/heavy metal or something like that).
