Well, that confirms what I always knew.

I'm not living in the real world.

It's a good song though.

Anyone else listen to it?

    Hi,

Too commercial a concept for me!

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

In the real world, people who get abducted by aliens and experimented on for no plausable reason other than to tell a good story are really the victims of top secret governmental experiments. Something conspiracy theorists have yet to come clean on. Perhaps they are part of the conspiracy.

Just be glad you don't live there!

    You have email??

I sometimes forget to chack my email for over a week. I missed a magazine (clip) that I need by a day, it sold out quick, because I didn't check my email.

Then I checked it this week and saw the email for the free loops from Cake, which I posted about, and about which either no one cared or I was REALLY late to the party. I don't usually use loops myself but they were free and I have a LOT of Acid loops from back in the Sonic Foundry days, and some from Sony. I have the Mick Fleetwood set, I like Mick's drumming.

Going to check my email now... before I forget. Checked... nothing there for me, yet. I'll go check the blog now. Then when I get the email I'll probably get confused... LOL.

    Thanks Bub!!!

It was an email from cake with a blog entry about using their stand alone compressor that's already in the Pro Channel in the "Real world".

It was actually good. I started using it the way the guy in the article described, and I like it a lot better. I can hone in on the sweet spot much much faster now.

Basically, he sets his compression level, sets the R37 control all the way counter clockwise, and slowly turns it clockwise until he hits the sweet spot. I always did it in reverse. I have to admit, I really liked the results I got. But I'm only using the Pro Channel version.

I think it's mildly entertaining that a obscure potentiometer that some bench tech might turn once every decade, or so, has now become the primary selling feature for the tweak-ahhhhs.

    Good clean fun for everyone!
