Not sure how many of you remember this band from the 80's.  Great show, I was against the stage dead center, loud. My ears are still ringing. Was going to take some ear plugs with me, but forgot them.  No accurate mixing for me today, or the next.

Yeah I know I know.  I'm 45 years old and I should act my age.  What can I say, I'll always be a rocker at heart!

Never got into Pantera, but I did like Skid Row.  My memories are with Dokken, Def Leppard, RATT, Rush, Van Halen, AC/DC, Tesla, Black N' Blue, Scorpions.... The list goes on but... Those type bands, never got into the harder stuff.

    Hi,

I walked off the two loud'est concerts I have ever been at!

    Why?

In both the bands were grossly out of tune with each other and the result was worse than ... you know it!

    They were?

    The Rolling Stones
    Deep Purple

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

Were they really out of tune or was it poor venue acoustics?

I think that when the guitars are not even together ... and the singer is too drunk to sing ... that it is not worth even being there ... at least the expensive one was free for me ... Deep Purple, also had Leon Russell, that was a bit loud, but he was good, and definitly in tune.

But you are suggesting that the Long Beach Arena did not have good accoustics? ... no better or worse than any other place ... and YES sounded magnificent in that same building doing Tales from Topographic Oceans, one of the best concerts I have ever seen in my life! And certainly one of the most difficult things to play and be on top of during the whole thing!
