What COLOR is your studio ? ? ?

It seems like most of the studios Ive seen are painted BLUE. I guess the dark color must give off a creative vibe.

dark olive walls with a dark cream color for the ceiling.

I go against the blue and will not be assimilated!

I see you are playing some Weather Report there too Reece...

I don't have a Studio I merely have a scraping set aside in the living room, in similar colours (albeit much classier though... ) to Reece's there.

I think a matte finish rather than silk, would have worked better there plus it is 20-40% better acoustically.

I do like the musical scroll though I have nothing to compete with that.

Something about that room seems oddly familiar, yet different.

Mostly white, with some dark white here and there. A little medium white in the middle.

No problems here, Janet, but I just got on a few minutes ago.

Dark blue feature wall, with cream on the other 3. The blue was chosen for its exact 30% increase in acoustic value over some weird green color. I'm picky like that.

At the moment the walls belong to the landlord, so they are just white.
But at some point, when the walls are mine, I think I would like to paint a mural.

Very light blue with dark blue sound baffles and red/white/blue curtains. The curtains are American flag designs and a well faded flag hangs behind the desk. White ceilings and trim. Very light oak flooring.

A very relaxing feel. I was told green causes hunger, blue relaxes, but I don't know why.

Truth be told, my studio is an off white that has a tinge of green to it.  It was left over from the kitchen.

I've got a lot of Red Cedar trim as well as the slats for my Helmholz resonators and it makes the walls look more like a cream color.  I'd love to switch colors but the natural wood locks me into certain colors.

I tried to post this last night but couldn't because of the server error:

so JB - you like the scroll?  that was hand painted by the loverly Mrs. Beagle and she also made the notation on a scroll saw and painted and hung those.

but...no mention of liking the 1800's square grand ivories??  I think it's really cool!  and heavy...  makes it hard to play on the wall at that height, tho...

Beagle, I meant to mention to you last night, but I kinda think that if you move that keyboard down and place it a little more traditionally...it just might help with your piano playing.  Just a thought..

Rich, you're not a lousy photographer.  Those are great pictures.  But here we thought you were just a really cool sax player (which you are, and which is enough!)...and look at you! Two keyboards, drums, a serious mixer AND a really cool studio (although I'm not partial to yellow, but to each his own!). :-)  What else are you holding back on us?

Hey Rich. We have the nearly the same Alesis Drum Kit. I added two more pads (3 Rack Toms, 2, floor) and a crash with choke. In order to accommodate those I had to add the Alesis IO.

    Bapu,
Yeah I also want to add more pads and cymbals.  I'm not totally satisfied with the snare and Hi hat.  And that's cuz I'm no Drummer (**Cough** refrains from tellling snide drummer joke).  I want to get something better of each.  However, My current priority is to get me a decent 5-string bass guitar.  I'll probably go with an Ibanez SR500 or 700 series.  That's IF I can convince the wife!
