Those shots would be great Sonar Platinum backgrounds for wallpapers.

Is there any option but yes? Sometimes I think I would risk death for a perfect shot.

Last night was forecast as LOW:2, so I shouldn't have seen a thing. If you really want to experience this.... frost bit fingers and all, the next 7 days are predicted to be 2s, 3s, and 4s. So how fast can you get here?

Makes the images all the more appreciable knowing you were there in such conditions.

We watched the Geminid meteor shower from a beach in Hunstanton UK last December...she was physically shivering and it was around a balmy -5.

Like the gent I am I put my hands over her ears so she could stay that bit longer to soak up the atmosphere...pun spotted but not intended :)

Was this worth risking 80 degree temperatures and potential sand in my shoes?

I am near Washington, DC.  I figured I would see the Northern lights during the next pole reversal.

Those are beautiful pictures - I was actually able to see them as a kid, when we were in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area at the US-Canadian border in Minnesota.  Beautiful.

Nice move, bit. But I'll see your 80° sunset and raise y... er... lower you 100....

(Though I'd rather be there than here, if that helps. )
