papa, a LOT of people are losing their jobs currently , . we bail out the banks and yet them and the stock traders greed caused some of this BS... Woolworth staff, 25,000 will be jobless after Christmas and that company was going almost 100 years.

I just recently found out that my parcel from eSoundz.com will arrive on: Friday 12/19/08 around 3pm - 5pm. That's one day late but OK considering it's xmas peak season, and it's sad that 9.500 US workers to lose their jobs around xmas.

I read your first post and thought WOW he hasn't heard about DHL's difficulties. Then I read this post and thought... WOW he's concerned about the welfare of the DHL emplyess.... I just wanted to say that I think that is some noteworthy and commendable behavior.

Hey Paul - I'm married to a divorce lawyer - she absolutely HATES January!!!!

I bought for my wife and myself a 40" Sony Bravia HD TV for the bedroom. Its nice (got it hooked up already)!
I tossed out the cable company and got a couple of Dish Network HD DVRs. MUCH better then the cable company equipment.
I put in my Amazon Wish List a book on Mastering, a book on Mixing and a couple of cook books (yes, I like to cook... I'm from New Orleans.) My wife and I use those Wish Lists for the gifts we exchange. Works very well. Although I usually get her a couple of gifts not in the list.

Her surprise this year is: For the past few weeks I've been repairing and refinishing an old Secretary (combination desk and bookcase) that she got from her mother. It was in bad condition and now it looks pretty nice. I worked on it down in the basement and so she knows nothing about it. (Hope she doesn't read this Forum.)

After having a better understanding of the situation (9,500 DHL workers to lose their jobs over xmas), just a moment ago eSoundz sent me an Email with an offer to either refund the cost ($20) 2 day air delivery or give me 40 points (credit toward future purchase) ????, I said no because it's not eSoundz fault and if the parcel arrives as late as Monday than that's OK. Then I went on to explain that I recently found out about the 9,500 job losses.

eSoundz is really good about doing stuff like that,,, even if it wasn't thier fault.
