What I want to do with Sonar

I'm just learning the package but I'm really wanting to get into how one track can control another, tempo wise.

A compressor with a sidechain is one method which I'm thinking sonar is a lot easier to do than SX3, and then what was a groove template in SX3.

So a midi track can control audio or midi? and an audio track can control audio and midi also?

What do I need to read up on?

The next big thing would be to do what a vocal rider plug in does. I've done it with blue cat where you take the peaks and convert them to midi, then invert them and use it for a volume envelope, but what a hassle!

Sonar has something like that built in?

Seems like I seen it demoed somewhere...

Thanks
