What ? No Cab IRs in TH3 ?
I can't believe what I am seeing, what kind of progress is that ? IIRC it was even available in the simplest TH2 Sonar version. A really deal breaker for me.
Windows 10/64, Intel i7 Xeon X6575 3,07GHz, 24Gb RAM, chipset: Intel X58 Express, Kingston SSD 240Gb, Sonar Platinum ∞, Edirol UA-25. ( Some extra VSTs: PSP almost all/ IK - AT4, ST3, / AAS - all/ TH3 full/ +10dB/ Melodyne Editor). EVE sc205 monitors, Defil Kosmos guitar, blue lava lamp, ashtray. The full version of TH3 has an IR cabinet (supports 2 IR at a time), not sure if that's included in the Cakewalk Edition or not (haven't tried it out yet).

Yes, if you compare it to free TH2 Producer. Whats the point of ditching IRs?

I have a trial version of TH3 and was very curious what of that would end up in Sonar version. TH3 is so stripped there is no substantial advantage over TH2 Producer (not mentioning TH2 full).

I haven't tried it, but if you right click on a cab in Sonar TH3 you get Replace with and at the bottom of the list is Cabinet IR. I've been noodling around with the Tweed Deluxe and like what I hear so far. I may upgrade my full version of TH2 to TH3.

You can replace item only with what's available. IRs are not.

You can have both TH2 and TH3 installed and available on your system. I think the amps and cabs in TH3 are a substantial improvement over TH2.

Don't get me wrong - I absolutely love TH?, two years ago I was enough satisfied with TH2 so I could sell my Fractal Axe Fx2. But TH3 Sonar to my (not perfect) ears is marginally better than TH2 Producer: we are getting almost same set of amps, few new (and indeed better) cabs and (!) IRs are taken away (#$^&!). My expectations were higher and my TH3 Sonar edition will be rarely used.

I think the official answer is "there will be before too long." I do think TH3 sounds better overall than TH2.

I don't see anything in the store, but there is one for TH2 so at some point in the future I'd expect to see one for TH3.

I agree that TH3 sounds better. I usually don't like to use amp sims, but I tried the '65 Fender amp last night, and at first listen found it more useable (for my tastes) than anything I heard in either TH2 or Amplitube.

It seems that this is a bad first example for SONAR's new VCP, because you have a case where substituting the new version of a plug will cause a failure. Overloud apparently doesn't believe in SOLID design principles, because that is a violation of LSP right there. (sorry non-geeks for the jargon).
