What Time Signature is this?

Hello,

I'm not so good with identifying correct time signatures.

I've got this portion of a song sketch and I've shoved it onto a 4:4 grid. I'd like to reestablish the tracks on a correct grid before I go to much further.

If anyone has the time to take a listen to this and offer advice I'd really appreciate it.

I made a 2nd version with a 4/4 drum beat behind it (which I don't plan to use, but I put it there incase it helps):

FYI, the bass notes do not lie exactly on the grid, but I would say the 2nd bass note of each chord falls close to the 8th triplet on the grid - if that helps.

Please ignore my crappy guide vocals.   Had nasal issues that morning and also I suck at singing... also tried to fit in too many syllables LOL.  (its one of those where I had words before music lol)

THANK YOU ALL!

yea i think you might be right.  the drums are in 4/4, the bass notes dont fall evenly on the grid...  im not great at time sig stuff, so I was just asking.

    Thank you

4/4 time in a shuffle equals triplets for every quarter note. Sonar has never handled triplets in the staff view very well at all. When I do slow blues tunes I use 6/4 time. It is much easier on the eyes in staff. Probably won't see much difference in the grid.
