What an eventful evening

So Im downstairs working on another room.

Just finished moving electrical, plumbing and getting the sheetrock, mudded and primed.

As Im cleaning up the floors the 100 year old water main coming into the basement decided it didnt want to be connected anymore. With my back to it as Im working I here that wonderful sound of crack and woosh Im soaked as it sprays every inch of the room Im in including all the lights around me. Bought scared me as Im standing there in water yanking cords out of the wall trying to keep from getting electrocuted

The only thing I was worried about was all my guitars on the other side of the wall from where I was.  Fortunately the floor was graded around everything that concerned my music room.  Shop vac made fast work of the clean up and got it all dryed back up before the evening was over.  WHEW

Not exactly my favorite way to clean a basement but it worked well

Kinda on hold until I get this other room done. Alot of stuff being moved around in the area as Im working.

Yeh it was CLOSE (to close). Only one light exploded but it did get my attention fast

Thankfully I store everything in those large plastic totes so nothing got soaked.

It's bad luck that it happened.  Good luck that you didn't get shocked--or worse--and nothing was seriously damaged.  Good thing you were down there when it happened.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?
