What are some of the "new" rock bands
that have come out recently? The music scene is flooded with hip-hop, pop, elctronic dubsteb, and all these mixed varieties of them etc....., but are there any really good rock bands that sound just as good live as they do in the studio?

I think just like the Blues, Rock is just sleeping now waiting for the next rebirth...the next Elvis or Beetles. Rock as been declared dead probably as many times as the Blues but both are still with us after all these years. I'm sure both will outlive me. Sure has come a long way from This

jamesg1213 My current favourite, 'Black Country Communion'; . +1 The third album in a couple of years is out soon, apparently done with less than a week in a studio. Just like the old days. The son of good friend of my is the drummer in this outfit Fahran, so I will give them a shameless plug.

Mesh just as good live as they do in the studio? Well that part sure stopped me from having to think of one.

jamesg1213 My current favourite, 'Black Country Communion'; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w82V4gsSW-4&feature=related They wear their influences on their sleeves, but it's just great rock. These guys are really good and Rocking!! I listened to a bunch of their songs on U-tube yesterday and added them to my fav's (they did a great job on Deep Purple too). Very good live as well!! Thanks James. Going to check out another one today....
