never heard these guys before. theyre great and man he can sing. thanks for the share. what am i listeing to? at this time for me i think its a search more than picking something. ive been going back to some jeff beck. in doing so i found him with other artist too. i found ive been in the dark through the years not knowing whats out there. its sometimes hard for me to just put on a cd and go about what im doing. i want to sit right down and listen to the music. if i just turn on the radio it can sometimes be ok for a fill. i enjoy freinds around for cooking. thats sort of like pulling out a cd for intertainment. i need to get with the times though my cd collection aint much. "Mark Cohn" would be a good choice for me while cooking. jimmy

I'm in my annual Big Wreck phase. Their first CD is just perfect, every damn song. But every record after that has been more commercial, less substance. Now Thornley just sounds like Nickleback. But that first CD, really good stuff.

RE: Thunder Thanks for that tip, James. I was not familiar with the band. I love discovering something old that's new to me. I've been buying a bunch of obscure and new-to-me titles lately. It's great because if it's 10-20 years old you can get it used from Amazon dirt cheap, usually a buck or two, rarely over $4. I have never bought any music new from Amazon, but the used stuff is like the world's biggest bargain bin. A recent discovery is Alison Kraus and Union Station, in particular the New Favorite album. Somehow I'd missed that boat; had heard the name but never gave it a listen before. At the moment it is my current new favorite. Then of course there are the ones that are in constant rotation on my pocket player, e.g. Dream Theater (usually the double album titled "Dream Theater's Greatest Hit, and 21 Other Pretty Cool Songs").
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

A+ ive seen her through the years turn out some really nice stuff from bluegrass to country to a mix of styles. great talent. a shame so much unheard of great talent is out there too such as people just having fun. or the ones who try and never get very far. ive been checking out "Tal wilkinfild" lately but thats jazz type stuff cute young girl and plays her rear end off on bass
