I guess what I was confused by was that there were already 14 replies and even more views...so why...since it had already been viewed and commented on was there any concern for it to be be viewed and/or commented on by anyone else. Although daft...it did not seem inappropriate for rational thinking primates to digest to me. But then, what do I know??

Looks like the 'colly jolly mustafeel' guy, again. He's had several user names, but the gist of the threads is usually the same (although I can't read this one). I'm guessing he was talking in a very confused manner about composing music in his head, for a computer game?

I seem to remember at least one similar thread too - I also seem to recall a member using Zelda as part of his name. Basically one long post exploring depression, inhibitions, the joy of cruelty, Hitler and so much more...

Quite a novel wasn't it? In the suggested standard unit of measurement for forum posts length, the Danzi (+/-250 words), I'd say it must have been at least 5 or 6 Danzis long... But not a tenth as relevant or interesting as the posts by the guy after who the suggested standard is named.

There's some bug in the forum software that allows you to post on the thread even though you can't read the original post or select the last posted reply. It is an undead thread (TM) Er, I mean, I , ah I imagine that must be how it works.

So, if 5/6 Danzis is a Colly Jolly, how many Danzis to a Mosh ?

Hang on. I have to convert to Bobby's in order to calculate that. Usually, I prefer to convert Danzi's to Yep's. I think it's because I found the metric system to be too predictable.

I find the metronome system even more predictable. But not as predictable as my bad puns..

Metrognomes surprise me. I mean, you expect to see them standing in a garden. It's a little disconcerting to see them on the train. I've always felt that there's something that's not right about them. They just seem "off." Early on, I'd say something about that but my drum teacher would just tell me to stop complaining and stay in tempo. I'd mutter something like, "If I played jazz, tempo would be irrelevant." He wasn't amused. I think he might have been part gnome.

Don't you guys switch on us now - I'm just re-learning the "standard"! We used metric back in Canada. Technically. To the younger generation, I guess the transition is done, but for people in their 30s and 40s, not so much... Even in Canada, I'm 6'3" , 200 lbs. For most of my life, Montreal was 400 miles from where I lived. If you travelled, you'd figure out the "miles per gallon". There was a quarter of milk in the fridge. And so on... For the longest time, the only place where we actually used the metric system was in school. But eventually, some things did come into effect - the ones people had no option but to learn. When they sell gas by the liter and speed limits are in km, you do make the transition. But most people still calculate their height and weight in feet, inches and lbs.
