What folder houses the fx presets???

I have recently purchesd Sonar x1 Producer & I'm finding it great to work with However I have noticed there are a few differences within the software that I am struggling with, one being what folder holds all the FX presets such as the Cackewalk FX's like Reverb, Delay, & EQ? I ask this as I am trying to transfer all my FX's from my old Cakewalk Sonar 8 & FX such as the Wave Gold bundle, but when I choose the folder to install them in to that is Cakewalk content/Sonar X1 Producer/FX Chain Presets the effects still do not appear in the audio effect option when I try to use choose the effects when using the program. Can somebody please help me out here?

So, you're using X1, that much is clear.

    The following might be useful:

    32 or 64 bit?
    Are you patched to X1C?
    System specs
Have you run Utilities > Cakewalk Plug-In Manager > Scan VST Plug-ins?

    CbB, Platinum, 64 bit throughout

Yes I'm useing 64 bit & yes I'm patched to X1C, System specs are at the bottom of my posts & yes I've run Utilities > Cakewalk Plug-In Manager > Scan VST Plug-ins after installing the FX's in to Cakewalk content/Sonar X1 Producer/FX Chain Presets but it still will not find the FX's for some reason.

Are you referring to presets or the VSTs themselves?  The CW FX are located in the VST folder in the Cakewalk directory. Other VSTs may be in other folders. If you installed them in a default folder they could be in a Steinberg VST folder or in a folder of their own. If so you will need to add those folders to the VST scanning path. Presets could be anywhere.

You're not alone.  The location of FX presets can be confusing - different FX store in different places.  One place to check would be:
C:\users\[username]\appdata\roaming\cakewalk\ at this point there are a couple folders like shared presets, sonar x1 producer, where presets may be stored.  I wish there was a more clear cut answer.  Anytime I upgrade or get new computer, bringing over old presets is a pain.
