Well, other than, of course, shameless self promotion my point was to show that (coming from someone who is still not all the enamoured with X1 and it's...er...new feature set) this latest release is still quite capable of producing viable musical projects. I'm sure this'll get moved soon...but just thought I'd share.

Well shoot! I could take this two ways. I could become discouraged, thinking... wow, that's great! I could never do anything that good... or... I could think wow, that's great! If I put in enough time with X1 I too will be able to make something that sounds that good. I think I wil go with option 2... thanks for sharing. Can I coment? I hope so... I had two thoughts (besides thinking you did a great job) there is a little piece of static at 1:42, do you know whatdid that? I have one sugestion too... but it is entirely subjective. I'd like to hear the lead guitar as just a slightly pumped version of the rhythm guitar. I think the rhythm guitar tone is really good, but it better suits my personal taste in tone. So again, thanks for sharing. It is encouraging!! It is a good song, both words and music. Juien

Our ol pal is one of them there musical genius types. Thanks for sharing olpal!!! Can you send me a Cuban Breeze real quick before I press play again? It sounds Boosted... did you go to 11? Or is that the new Studer A800 slammed against the wall? I really dig the background vocal textures... is that Dimension Pro or sumthin? Is that an Egnator Rebel 20 or just plain GR4 lite? Great mix... for an old guy. best regards, mike

Well, I am currently at work on a new personal CD project and this is the first tune out of the oven. I'll keep ya posted as others get "baked". They will all be completed in X1 (tho some started in 8.5.3). Unless everything just flat goes to hell in a handbasket.

You are very talented (musically and engineering wise). The mix is nice. I am listening on good ear buds right now and it sounds very clean and I'm not asking myself what is wrong with this...I'm just jamming!

Crackin' song. I'm not usually into such laid-back music (being a high-strung type myself) but I really really enjoyed this. The production was fab too. Thanks! Cheers, Terry.

Very entertaining tune, yorolpal! Now, when you say X1 hung up or crashed ever so often, can share just how often is that? :) How many times in a session, for instance?

It is relatively rare that X1 crashes WHILE WORKING on a project. I'd say maybe two or three times during a weekend when I'm working both Saturday and Sunday (or like yesterday and today due to the snow here). And that is mostly...but not always...the teleport server (BitBridge) "not responding". However, it is quite common...perhaps 50% of the time...for X1 to hang on closing a project and either not shut down until I force it to or shut down but not close so I cannot open it again until I've either a] logged off or b] rebooted or c] turned my M-Audio Fast Track Ultra off and on again. PS: Ooops, almost forgot...Thanks to everyone for you kind words and I'm glad you're enjoying the tune!

yorolpal: OK, thanks for the info. The next time you have a hang problem, try ending the SONARPDR.exe process via task manager.

Well I'm a sucker for any tune that uses humor in the story line, Touch of Dan Hicks humor meets Little feat groove but then again thats way off? , lets just call it unique with no comparison in the known universe. Excellent use of delay on vox.
