What is MDI?

While reading the list of fixes in X1b I came across this, and was wondering what MDI means. Anybody know?

      • Not sure if this is what they mean, but MDI often relates to multi-document windows...  ie, where more than one window can be visible, etc.

      Maybe as it relates to Sonar it means something different though.

      An MDI window is bound to the extents of the main window.  A floating window can be dragged outside the main window (perhaps to a different monitor)

      Yes, it is fixed. I had this problem with MDI window in X1a and now is fixed and works like it should in X1b.
      Really didn't see it as that bad of a bug or problem, some may have not noticed the behaver or known it was a bug.
