A few thoughts on this.
The vast majority of emulated instruments do not use more than 49 keys. Most don't even use that, and you will find dead keys at both ends of the keyboard. It has to do with the natural range of a given instrument. Piano notwithstanding.
I have been using an Edirol PCR-M50(predecessor to the current A-Pro 500) for a few years. It has been extremely rare when I felt limited by the 49 keys.
For synth work, I much prefer a synth action keyboard, as opposed to weighted keys. It's much easier to play, say, a violin, and get into the mindset of a violin, if your keyboard doesn't feel like a piano.
This is, of course, entirely personal, but it works for me.
I think the Oxygen would serve you well. You might want to look at the A Pro 500 also. More expensive, but I think a slightly better build quality. I thrash my Edirol, and it's still tickin'.
Any of them should work fine with SHS7.
