What one peice of software or gear did you sell that you wished you'd kept?

Me - A Roland TR-303 bass line. Not because I wanted it but because if I had hung on to it for another year I could have got at least 10 times as much for it.

The original version of Melodyne. The new improved version isn't as simple and easy to use, and the results don't always seem to be improved.

For me it would be a Taylor 555 12 string - an early model with nice inlays. I had a 6 and a 12 in the same series, and when the opportunity came to purchase my 63' strat I had to shed a lot of gear. I kept the 6 and sold the 12. I should have kept the 12 and sold the 6. I ended up replacing the 6 with a Martin, but I have yet to play a 12 as nice as the one I let go...

An early 50s "No-caster"! I bought it in a pawn shop in the late 60s for $75. It played like ^$*( so I sold it two weeks later for what I paid. This is before there was a legitimate vintage guitar market out there. For those who don't know what it is, Fender released a few single pickup models of the Telecaster before it was named. The earliest ones had only Fender on the headstock because a name had not been decided on. Thus, the no-caster! I also had at one time the Fender Esquire, which was basically the same thing as a nocaster, just named. I need to be shot for getting rid of those things.

Sonar Platinum, Sonar X3e, Sonar X2a , Sonar X1 Expanded and 8.5.3 (32 and 64 bit), Windows 10 on a Toshiba P75-A7200 Laptop with i7 @ 2.4 quad and 8 gigs of RAM and secondary WD 1 Tb drive, Windows 10 desktop, Asus i5 @ 3.2 quad, 12 gigs RAM, 1 Tb drive, 1 500 gig drive, MOTU 24io, 2 Roland Studio Captures, Saffire 6 USB for laptop, Soundtracs Topaz Project 8 mixer, Alesis Monitor 2s, Event BAS 20/20s, Roland Micro-Monitor BA-8s, and 45 years worth of collecting FX, Mics, Amps, Guitars, and Keyboards!

Echo-plex.  It is about the only piece of hardware I've ever sold (tho I've given away things).  I only let it go after I got a roland space echo.  I think I only got about $75 for it, tho this was '70s money.

The only remorse I have about stuff I've sold is for the things I let go too cheaply.

I had a 1964 blonde Rickenbacker 12-string that I sold to a close friend for $400 as a favor. He admitted years later that he'd held onto it less than one week, as he'd immediately re-sold it for $1200. When he told me this, it was in the context of how much money he'd "lost" in the transaction, as that guitar would go for $4-5K today.

I sold a 4-year-old synthesizer and Anvil case for $800 that I'd paid $4,500 for. I foolishly assumed it was rapidly losing value, as it was an analog-digital hybrid and all the new products coming out were all-digital. Today it'd go for around $4K again.

Those weren't the only episodes of financial stupidity, but I prefer not to think about all the others.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

late 70's Lado Super Falcon -

Mine had a serial number like 0120.   I sold it, was sitting on the counter for 5 minutes and guy walked in picked it up and bought it.

EMU Emax II rack with hard drive and memory expansion.  damn I wish I hadn't gotten rid of that thing.

Did not exactly sell it, but ..my first guitar.  My grandfather gave it to me when i was 10.  I had no idea how to play, but it was dear to me because he gave it to me.  I have no idea what brand but it was a starburst strat  and seemed well made. I was a trumpet player and did not have access to guitar lessons at the time so I kept it around unplayed. I moved to a town and some local ganag was trying to force me to join them.  I said no and they worked me over real good. After they beat me to the point I could not walk home on my own power, they had the nerve to help me get home and asked would i join there gang.  I went in my home and grabbed the first item i could swing on the leader with and that happened to be the guitar.  I grabbed it, wengt out the side door and did an El Kabaong to his skull.  he went down and the rest to the gang scattered as I repeatedly hit hi until the guitar was totally ruined.  I so wish I had seen my bat first :(

Well I can't say that I had anything that had a lot of resale value, but a few things I parted with I regret are. An Ibanez LP copy I traded for a NJ series BC ****. The other was an old silverface champ that my dad moded for me with the 6l6 replaced with a tube I can't remember, possibly 5881 and the 12ax7 was replaced by a 7085. Of course I was a lad and probably wouldn't be as excited by it now but I remember the most inspiring tone coming from that little thing.

Old Slingerland drum set from the 40's.  It was painted blue with sparkles thrown on it.  I could have refinished it.

I had a Harmony strat that had one of the best necks I ever played. Some good pups would have brought the sound of that thing to life. Probably a better body as well. I sold it to a student.

The other is a Warmoth. It had a Tele style body and a really fat neck. Swamp ash body, birdseye maple neck and fingerboard. A Floyd rose and 3 EMG pups. That thing had great sustain and probably would have had more it it were a hard tail rather than the Floyd. I paid $400 for it and traded it for a 1979 Les Paul Custom. The LPC had Bill Lawrence pups in it. A dual blades in the bridge position and a single blade in the neck position. I've since put 57 classics it. A 57 Classic plus in the bridge position. The guy I traded with said he wanted my Warmoth because Eddie (Eddie Van Halen) would play it. I mis that guitar..

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Sounds like some cool gear Guitarpima. The Ibanez that I loved back then, I got from a guy in the same barracks when I was in the Air Force. The bridge pickup had to be replaced so I installed my first of many Duncan super distortion pups in the bridge position. I also replaced the neck with a Bill Lawrence OBL pup. My favorite combination for that kind of ax. If I were able to get a Bill Lawrence to fit my PRS neck position pub, there would be one in there now. I do love the stock neck pup but not quite as much as a Bill Lawrence.

Right now, the Frontier Tango that I sold would be handy.

    Same as Ol Pal,

Mine was a Cherry Sunburst Les Paul that I bought from my best friends older brother.
That was when I was 18 (I'm 54 now).  It would be worth a fortune right now, but I'd just like to have
it to play it again.  Or I'd like to have my (Frampton) Black 3 Pick-up Les Paul Custom again.  Either would do..LOL

Yep, my 82 Les Paul, vintage sunburst, would have been my second choice.

I've got three regrets.  A 1962 Ampeg Echo Twin, 1966 Marshall JTM45-100 Head, and a 1963 Fender Twin Reverb.  I really wish I kept all three!
