What scale is your favourite song played in?

Hey Cakewalkers,

I've got a thing about scales at the moment. Im wondering how people approach playing songs these days and was wondering if people like yourselves try to identify the scale a song is played or do you simply just look the chords up to a song online.

I've been playing along to 'Old Love' by Clapton and realise that it is in the A Minor scale (Aeolian for the geeks). Makes playing along so much more enjoyable :)

Anyway, for your favourites do you know what scale they are played in?

Cheers

Rod

Hmmm, I think some of you lovely people have misinterpreted slightly.

Favourite song (or any song really) with its key and scale please.

    Example:

Hey Joe - E natural minor - (Diatonic - not sure of the mode)

The thread title mentioned nothing about listing your favorite song.  I thought my reply was clear and to the point and exactly what was asked for

hmmm. I see your point slightly.

I didnt take into consideration how people prefer to violate the maxim of quantity. However for clarity I did presuppose that people would naturally list the song as well.

Rod this is one of my favorites to play over....as you can hear it's not just one key and I'm
really have a harder time trying to name a fav that is in only one key.

I'd love to collab on material like this - I just don't have the time or patience and in many cases, the ability to cover the other parts...especially drums and keys.
