What should I do with my balls?
I accidentally threw out the box that we keep our Christmas tree decorations in.
Any suggestions on what to do with my balls? They're so fragile, and remember, I'm on a tight budget being out of work and all.

At this point, keeping them from getting crushed would be the prime concern. Liquor store boxes with flaps should work. Layer them with newspaper in between. They are not likely to damage themselves under their own weight, so as long as they can't bang around in the box, they should be ok.

Hmmm, maybe I'm misunderstanding the question, but I was going to suggest cryogenics then perhaps they could be thawed later and re-attached.

if you have a box somewhere around you could pack them in newspaper..or paper towels and stick them in there....

They're so old and fragile, and are all dusty. They are almost 40 years old now. I'm half afraid to wrap anything around them. My favorite ones are the blue balls. My wife doesn't seem to be nearly as concerned about the blue balls as I am though. They have quite a bit of sentimental value to me. They've been around my entire life. I'd hate to see anything happen to them.

I think you should just keep em' in a big wrinkly sac til next year when you get to them out again.

Oh, I hear ya! You should see my silky balls. They are getting all frayed and straggly looking. And they don't hold their form like the hard balls, they are all mis-shapen and saggy looking.

you might find there is a market for such antique's on ebay.. someone I know (who I buy old games off) bought 2 teddy bears at a real auction for £30 to resell on ebay.. the better looking newer one want for £50 ($100 I guess) and the tatty wouldn't give $1 one went for £200 ($400) .. so one mans junk.. etc
