What's happened to Garritan?

I've had Garritan GPO for several years (using the Kontakt player) and I love the sampled orchestral sounds. I recently downloaded Finale 2012 so I could do more accurate notation and find that Garritan no longer supports my version of GPO. I guess I can upgrade to 4 and I have the Aria version with Finale, but the support is very confusing. I couldn't just import my GPO samples into the Aria player because they're different formats. So, it looks like there might be a way to copy dll files and such, but it seems complicated with no reason to expect satisfying results. Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Right now I'm inclined to just stick with the Kontakt Player and GPO2.

    yeah GPO has been with the Aria player for a while now. its not complicated as much as a giant PITA.  i backed-up my old Kontakt 2 projects and everything had to be re-patched. i was actually quite amazed that you could do that, and replace the original files with newer and better soundsets. i was concerned that there would be sync and timing issues, cause i didnt use a metronome at all back then. it lined up in X1 perfectly.

    FWIW Finale just brought Garritan as well, so watch that space.

    You need to upgrade to GPO 4 to get the latest ARIA version which also includes some extra samples such as ProjectSAM brass and choir samples.  Upgrade price is $49. 

    Kontakt and ARIA formats are totally different so it is not possible to migrate the wav files over plus Kontakt version is encrypted.
