What's it like not to be married?
I don't think it would be good for me...I'm ruined, spoiled and use to being taken care of. And now all the health issues to add to issues....geeze... thought I should clarify; I'm healthy. I meant that things have changed in the last 30 years. One must be very careful I would think.

My buddy Buster was married to one woman twice... and bless her heart she came back and took pretty good care of him in his last couple of years as well.
His other two wives were nice too.
That guy was a handful!

I've had two wives also. They were both remarkable women, I know that now but I didn't then.
One thing I'd add to Randy's not for negotiation list is:
Don't bring other ladies home and tell the wife how much better looking and more fun they are. It does nothing worthwhile.
I struck gold this time though, I got a goodun AND I know it.

I didn't get married until I was almost 30, meaning I was living the bachelor musician lifestyle for a good 10+ years. In the year before I met my wife, I was playing live at least 4 nights a week, living with a stripper, flying off to Las Vegas or L.A a couple of times a month. Drinking and getting high was a daily routine. I owned 8 guitars and some great amps. Came and went as I pleased and had no debt. It was horrible tell ya!
Seriously though, I'd be a rotting bag of worm chow had I not met my wife when I did. I was on my out with my hair on fire.

Randy I hear ya. 21 and my head was on fire too. She sure got a hold on me.

Hmmmm..... I'm 31 and not married. Well, I have a couple regrets when it comes to women, but I know I've dodged a few bullets too I'm still happy although I'll be lying if I say that it's awesome all the time. Having said that; I'm living life. Rockstar life is kicking off and I travel with my buddies and any short term romance doesn't get me into trouble. It's liberating I tell ya! However, one day mrs right is there - and if I can't catch her my heart will bleed. I've come to terms with my situation and I can still see a wonderful future for my self - and a special someone when I meet her - meanwhile I'm working on being happy with myself and I'll take it from there

I think if me and my ex hadn't of got married and/or shacked-up,we'd still be together.Whenever I get a job and get into another serious relationship I'm going to ask her to live next door or across the street.I'm not easy to live with and I like having my own space plus,with her living next door or across the street it'll be more like we're doing something we shouldn't be.
There were things that were great about being married and things that sucked about it.I don't think me and the ex were the best match for eachother.
If you have a good woman,you don't want or need to know what its like not to be married.
