What's up with all the X's

First Sonar X1, now Samplitude announced the realease of their ProX and ProX suites...Sonar was first anyway...
Whats next Studio One X???

    It all began 10 years ago w/ OSX. ;)

    Don't forget Final Cut Pro X and the yet to be announced Logic X. Next version of Pro Tools will also be the tenth, so you can expect to see a X there too.

    And of course, Windows 7, which will probably become Windows X in a couple of versions.

    Sonar X1 is the tenth version of Sonar.
    I guess X1 sounds more interesting/exciting than Sonar 10
