Whats the difference with "save as""save copy as"?SOLVED

Hi,
I'm sure this has been asked before,but "search forum" didn't come up with anything,and I'm also now losing projects when I have a BSOD,whereas in X3 they would always be able to be found.
 
The BSOD problem is this particular laptop-it's on it's way out,as in- I only have 1 working usb port,which I can then connect a 7 port "powered" hub,and that works until I can get something else.
 
I'm MAINLY interested in the new "save copy as" difference in PLATINUM,should I be using THIS instead of the handy "save as" option?

    "Save As" causes SONAR to change the open project, "Save Copy As" does not.

    If you use "Save As", the new file that you saved is the one that is open when you continue to work. If you use "save a copy" you save an 'archived' copy and continue to work on the original file.

    Ah Huh,I think I understand[?] "save as copy" keeps the original that you FIRST worked on,but "save as" is a copy with the changes you have made since the original session,is that right?

    They both save the current project, the difference is what is open after calling the function. "Save As" replaces the current open project with the "Save As" project.
