It's usually best not to look too closely at such images.  It's too difficult to remove those memories without a pair of tongs, jumper cables, a very long flathead screwdriver, and a large hammer.

The only thing I would do different is pull a Jean-Luc Godard on the cartoon ... that is ... when one person talks the camera looks under the table, when another replies the camera does a 360 on the room, and then a voice over says ... I didn't like this shot, and does it all backwards and tries it again slightly different ...
 
You can only see stuff like this in Godard's "early years" when he intentionally created what was called then "anti-film" ... and the results are far out and fascinating and off the wall. Best one is in "Weekend" when a car pulls up to a gas station ... and the voice over says ... that shot was boring ... and the car moves backwards ... and then re-enters the gas station differently. A lot of this was copied by Quentin Tarantino, but he doesn't have the courage that Godard had! ... too much money up his yoni from his producers to be able to have fun with it at all!

Oh, that would be so corny lame hilarious Pedro. Given that the concept fits right in with the intent of the piece, I'm sure Reece will get right on that.

 
It wasn't corny or lame ... and it was a bit strange. The hardest part is the audience's ability to continue, either, listening or paying attention to the shot itself, which creates another story ... sort of.  You can see more about cinematographers in a film called "Visions of Light" ... highly recommended and you will go back and catch some of those films real quick, too!
 
In the end, when you see two or three of these films, you realize how mechanically minded you have become watching film, and how so many shots and directing in film is really bad ... and just stock material that does not make the film, or story any better. But it was exaspearting watching the camera do a swinging pendulum in one film for 15 minutes ... and in the end us realizing that the relationship between these two people didn't mean anything anyway ... so why should the camera pay attention to them and cross-shot and all that in their conversation?
 
Film, has become way too mechanical, and cartoons are doing the same thing because the folks doing it, are strictly using the shots they learned at film school (for example), or have seen in the popular stuff.
 
These days, the best of them, is probably Garpar Noe, but he is really hard to sit and watch and totally off the wall, and very brutal ... but the point of view in the film is not the Hollywood style ... it's like you are inside the film, not watching it.
 
I think I will check that out and see if I can play with it ... and take a Bapu exchange with Mooch ... needs to be longer though, or I'm going to do a harold Pinter impression real quick -- and smoke a whole cigarette between each line!
 
To me, a lot of music is missing that "exploratory" element ... and "point of view", specially when it is only done by some lyrics and the music stays the same on a different chord.
 
That's what I see, anyway ... and yes, I have had 3.423653420978523 eye surgeries on my right eye, and you could say I am partially blind!
