I've always thought of the LP-64 as dynamic equalization. In my seminars I advise people that in some cases, it's better to consider multiband compression as a variable-band graphic equalizer that happens to do dynamics control rather than a dynamics processor.

Funny John! Actually, I didn't even download it.. I was just trying to give Cakewalk a nudge.. Maybe my post belongs in the Features & Ideas forum..?

I would be happy if the Gloss EQ were also available outside the Pro-Channel as a standard FX.

Come on Cakewalk. iZotope, Voxengo, and others offer a dynamic EQ. This is the future. I agree with others in this and other posts that all the effects in the Pro Channel should be available as VST plugins. There are some plugins (namely Sound Radix AutoAlign and Pi) that need to be inserted as the 1st and last plugins respectively in the FX rack. Sure it can be done, but one has to use an FX bin as the last insert in the Pro Channel. I would like to see the Pro Channel dissapear altogether or at least have the capability to insert 'any' vst plugin in the Pro Channel chain.

You can use FX Chains anywhere in the Pro Channel strip, and insert any regular VST you'd like in those.

I would be happy if the Gloss EQ large GUI didn't minimize when I hit play. Rocky

I think that since most plugins come in different sizes that would be pretty impossible. What's wrong with just inserting a chain?
