Hi. The simple answer is yes.
You can indeed install SONAR on your new PC.
All the best.

If you prefer not to use the command center, the installers are in your account.

If you have not already downloaded the installers, now would be a good time to do so. If you used the Command Center to install initially, the installers are already on your HD in the download area. Make backups of the installers. For the products listed in the Command Center, the installers in the Command Center download area are the same as the installers in your account so you do not need both.

On the new machine, you may run the installers manually or copy them into the Command Center download area to run them from inside the Command Center.

By default the Command Center download area is "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads"
The path may be changed in the Command Center setup paths tab. Click the gear in the upper right of the Command Center to enter setup.

IIRC, these are the last installers.

This topic has been gone over a zillion times so if you read threads from back in November you see the same answer over and over.
Until they pull the plug on the server it is business as usual. There is nobody who can answer the question of when that will happen.
Having the software on a CD won't help you as at this point Sonar needs the servers to be activated.

Your best back up plan is to download all your products and serial numbers from your "MY Products" page.
And install and activate everything on a computer that will run for 10 years.

So i downloaded the setup files onto my other(home)computer just to see if it will work...i tried running both setup files to install..the original setup file and the latest ..there are 2 setup files in my folder...both installed sonar platinum but they both installed "demo" version..i did not install command center, the reason i did not is because..if and when i want to install on my newer comp(which i have not purchased yet).im worried command center will be no longer active...i should also add my computer in not connected to internet at the time i tried to install..idk if this matters..the set up files i have are ver:1.0.0.39 and ver:1.0.0.56...

If you elect not to use the Command Center or need to activate SONAR on a computer not connected to the internet follow these instructions.

For now it is WAY easier to use Command center as it keeps track of what you have installed and if that all is the latest version. It also activates your version automatically.
Otherwise you follow scooks link and use the offline activation. I did both just to see and trust me. Install and use Command center it's a much easier ride. .

I would also recommend using the Command Center for your products. I installed Sonar Platinum on an upgraded system a couple of weeks ago and CC did the job without any problems.

Sonar Platinum - BandLab Cakewalk - Presonus 16.0.2 - Tannoys - Lava BandLamp ?

I have had SONAR installed on my studio pc and laptop for years, so no need to worry.

I have it on 7 computers as my back up for the future. I only use 3 of them, the other copies I use to help on the forum and they are "safety" copies.

Of the software bundled with SONAR only XLN Audio and Celemony restrict the number of active licenses. You may have two active installs each for Addictive Drums 2 and Melodyne Essential. While Cakewalk tracks the number of SONAR activations, they do not impose a limit. Installing and activating SONAR on more than one PC is OK, however; the license restricts use to one PC at a time.

Exactly, Way back Noel or someone said we won't limit your installations but we'll be keeping an eye on this.
As it is they would have no way to track active and deactivated set ups. I have at least 4 old Daw Hard Drives with complete C drive intact Sonar installed and no long used. Cakewalk would not be aware of those.

And yes, there no way to use more than 2 versions anyways unless like Steve just said, you forgo AD2 and Melodyn. For me this also includes my Air products.
