When is X1 going to be available on floppy disks?

C'mon guys, not everyone has upgraded their hardware to incorporate a CD-drive let alone a DVD drive.

The Shipping costs would be superior to the Software itself so no time soon, unless you rented a C130.

    Forget floppies, go tape drive.

At least you can re use the tapes for high fidelity mixdowns.

If you still have a floppy disk, see your doctor. They have new drugs for this.

I wonder how many reels of PAPER tape it would require?

You'd need a tape reader of course.

I just bought a new computer.  This thing should run Sonar X1B with no problems at all.

When is X1 going to be available on floppy disks?

When they do I'll need it converted to punch cards. And then my buddy bitflipper can convert it to assembler for me (yeah Bit's old school like that).

... that C64 really brought back some memories! Only my rich friends had them though, the others had VIC20's... but my father was an early adopter (he'd been programming mainframe machines in FORTRAN for years) and we had an original first-generation IBM PC - before there was any such thing as a 'clone'... it ran DOS, but eventually we got the very first version of Windows too - which my dad correctly predicted would become ubiquitous.

Oh, and the first modem we ever had was a 300 baud contraption with two circular rubbery foam receptacles, into which you would insert the mouthpiece and earpiece of a standard black bakelite rotary phone.

    Those were the days!

    You modern yuppies...

I still have my trusty Cosmac Super Elf, that I programmed to play "the flight of the bumblebee". It took a big chunk out of my hefty 256 bytes memory. This computer is a top-of-the-range product with a steamy RCA 1802 processor - running almost 1 MHz.

They are still for sale: http://vintagecomputersal...-super-elf-with-manual

    So ... Take your chances!

At the other hand.. I also own a Acorn Atom... It even has a keyboard and video output! Now - that's real power at your fingertips....
