When using Maschine as VST in Sonar X2 latency issue

I have several DAWs and the only one that gives me trouble with the following, is Sonar X1 and X2; I insert Maschine as a VST without using it's controller.  I begin to record and as I program my notes in (say my kick and snare parts) there is no sound for a few seconds and then what I just played with begin to sound but for the first few seconds, I get no sound from maschine.  I am able to use maschine this way in every other DAW without any delay.  I'm baffled...anyone ??

    This is a known issue regarding X1 and 2 and their metronome settings.  They are working on it.

    anyone know if x2a resolved this?  please god i hope so.
